Each musical vocalist must learn one rule: singing is sacred! Most problems associated with voice are caused by a lack of understanding of the importance of warming up the ligaments. I must admit, I myself did not understand this before, so my ligaments often suffered.
Before chanting, it is advisable to let the blood scatter over the body. Do a couple of physical exercises, such as bends, squats, push-ups, etc. (The main thing is not to overdo it, this is just a preparation). After that, you can start vocal exercises. And only after a good chant can you take on songs.
First find the most comfortable pose. Lean against the wall or assume a lying position, although this is not necessary. The main thing is to be relaxed and not to be pinched. Imagine a long rope running through your body that comes out of your head. Imagine now that the rope is tied to the ceiling and tightly stretched. Here is such a good pose to begin with … now we breathe in and try to mumble – that is, make a sound “mmm” in your usual conversational voice, as if you had eaten something very tasty. Now we’ll swing this sound between two notes convenient for us. Be completely relaxed, do not try to set height records – remember, this is just a warm-up. Soak for 2-3 minutes.
The next exercise is called a “vacuum cleaner.” The sound can be written as “wf-wf-wf” – a cross between “w” and “f”. This is a good massage for your ligaments, so get air and swing the sound between two notes that are convenient for you. Please note – the sound should be smooth, slowly falling and rising, and not jumping.
Hint – so that the sound does not jump, you need to maintain a constant stream of outgoing air, imagine that instead of air, water is pouring from your mouth, which does not interrupt for a moment and does not jerk, but, on the contrary, flows in an even, continuous stream. This stream is supported by a diaphragm. The neck should be relaxed, pay special attention to the soft place under the chin, it should not be pinched either (you can check it from time to time with your hand). And so continue for 2-3 minutes.
Now the same thing sounds like a motor boat. Try to do this exercise while holding a note for as long as you can. Do 2-3 minutes.
This time, imagine that you are a siren. First, try to make it a head sound. Then chest (normal conversational voice). Let me remind the girls that their pectoral voice is at the very bottom of the range.
Motor boat + Siren
Now we do 3 exercises, but we combine it with 4 and go as high and as low as we can without straining. Feel any tension – stop and pause.
You can use the following chant system:
Mi-Me-Ma-Mo-Mu on one note, gradually increasing.
Mm-Mm-Mm-Mm / Mo-Mi-Mo-Mi-Ma for trizvuk (two times)
The same is true only for all notes up to a fifth.
Mo-Me-Mi-Mu-Ma by the sound of trizvuk. Sharp, sketchy.
Universal option for all voices: Mi-yo-mi-yo-mi. (pay attention so that the voice does not “fall” to “o”).
To tune the resonator: oo-oo-oo-oo partly through a very small hole in the lips. Lips are tense, teeth are maximally open.
To clean the ligaments: from the fifth, smoothly down gamma Lloo-o-o-o / staccotto: l-o-o-o-o-o trizvuku back and forth.
The penultimate chant: Oh! -Oh! -Oh! -Oh! -Oh! very abruptly and abruptly in trizvuk. It should be like a scream of the same name, only with a certain pitch. Make sure the sound hits the roots of your front teeth.
The last chant is gamma. First, smoothly, then on a staccato. Pay special attention to “re” and “si” – they should be “oval-vertical.” “C” and “fa” have a strong tendency to underestimate, control the instrument.
Effective Singing Tips
– After you woke up, you can’t sing for 2 hours.
– Drink plenty of room temperature water throughout the day, and especially during rehearsal or chanting.
– Do physical exercises – it accelerates the blood and speeds up the chanting
– Do not strain.
– If there is no opportunity to sing, then before singing, read aloud for 15-30 minutes, carefully articulating.
